I'm curiouos out there how many ladies have continued to be active in some form of team sport you may have prior to transition or those who were "gym rats" prior to transition and have continued to be so. What changes have you noticed? Did you have to leave your sport? Did you have to change gyms? I'm very curious as I'm getting close to having to face these issues. I know when it comes time, my sports career at least in the area will be done. As for the gym, I'm not so sure. I do enjoy going though. Anyway...I was curious as to others experiences...

so I have never hid the fact I'm a big gurl. I'm around 6'1" and on the upper end of 2 bills. That said, I'm in pretty decent shape. I lift weights, I run..I can go upstairs without losing my breath but I'm wondering. I have seen several before and after photos as of late of wonderful gurls who have made remarkable changes.

I would like to ask...who out there have made a large weight change, whereas you started out a heavy male weight and brought it down.  What did you do different?  How did you incorporate the changes? If you haven't had a large decrease, how did you adjust to life as a large woman?  Was it easier? I'm just trying to find where I'm comfortable in my own skin. I know I'm never going to be model thin and I do not want to...I just want to be able to present as womanly figure as I can without having to feel like I'm a extra for creature feature...ya know?

I hope this does not come out wrong...I'm very serious about learning and incorporating change and I thought I would ask those who have went through it.

Thank you.

Is there a trans clinic in Baltimore? I'm relatively new to the area and it's getting to be time to get a renewal prescription for T. I have my letter and everything and have been on T for a few years, so I just need to find out where to get it. I know that I could always go to walker-whitman clinic in DC, but I'd rather go somewhere local.

You mind if I hang around? I'm in Pissburgh Pittsburgh, but I suppose I could save up, rent a car, and drop in on you folks once or twice...

Alright, so there was a relatively unanimous vote for weekend afternoon meetups. How about next Sunday (the 22nd) at the College Perk? I vote for this location because it's 1.) as close to central as we can get and 2.) Metro/bus accessible. Directions and other info can be found at http://www.collegeperk.org

Alternatively, this and next are the last two weekends that the Rennaissance Faire will be open and my roommate has the ability to get discount tickets for $13 (I think. It may be $14). There was interest, so does anyone want to try for that this or next Saturday or Sunday? I'll need a headcount so I can tell her how many tickets to have.

Discuss!

Hey everyone! It's Nathen, your friendly neighborhood moderator.

Anyway, I just wanted to drop a line and say hello and thanks for joining! It has, in fact, been pointed out to me that there is another DC/Baltimore trans community, but I suppose there's room for another. Perhaps this one will be slightly less quiet. Who knows?

Also, is anyone interested in starting a meetup group? Got any suggestions for places? Drop a comment if you've got anything.

Till next time...

-Nathen
